The DVE Telepresence 50 is DVE’s flagship product for group conferencing. Life-size images with full upper body language and perfect eye contact. The viewing angle permits up to 8 people per side and is usually optimized in meeting environments for 6 people. Specialty integrators sell legacy videoconferencing systems into meetings rooms that can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. They claim to have Telepresence but they do not enable true eye contact. If the camera is on top then it is not true Telepresence. Another specialty integrator mounts cameras behind giant wall screens. But upon close examination people appear to look away up to 30 degrees -- truly a poorly conceived human factor design. The cost of these systems is just too great to employ throughout an organization.

DVE has intelligently engineered the DVE Telepresence 50 to meet the communication demands of an entire organization with deployment of systems potentially in every meeting room and not just a few corporate showcase rooms. The DVE group experience takes into account the correct human factors of quality communication by optically embedding cameras behind the display image. The DVE Telepresence 50 can be deployed in up to four other rooms in the organization for the same price as one of the other specialty integrator’s bulky room systems. The DVE telepresence 50 is designed so that any meeting room can become a state-of-the-art telepresence facility in hours. No expensive room installations, room construction or custom tables required. Of course, some designers and architects prefer to build the Telepresence 50 into their hand crafted mill work and environments. DVE gladly collaborates with designers and architects to ensure the client is satisfied.

DVE has also pioneered Intelligent Switched Telepresence which empowers the DVE telepresence 50 to operate automatically and seamlessly like a broadcast production. Natural camera cuts (not jerky pan/tilts) are all that is seen, simulating the way humans naturally communicate with focused attention on single individuals at any given moment during meetings.
