The patented DVE Telepresence Room^TM is based upon a new standard for group telepresence communication that ingeniously conceals an HD camera behind an immersive wide aspect ratio HD screen. With over ten years of development, specialized optics has been created to maximize the depth resolution of HD. Unlike other telepresence configurations for seeing multiple people simultaneously the DVE Telepresence Room^TM maintains a true HDTV format perspective with a single large screen experience. The DVE telepresence room has been designed around the human factors for quality communications allowing for 4 life-size people to be seen in the first tier and an optional 4 more in a second tier. That means a total of 16 people can communicate together in a single conference. The beauty of the DVE Telepresence Room^TM is that it takes advantage of state-of-art image transfer and the highest quality HD seen on a 120” diagonal large screen.

Other older telepresence rooms use multiple plasma panels to compensate for image degradation common to last generation videoconferencing. These systems suffer from a profound lack of immersion where the images of the participants are contained in display bezels. Also, when using these older systems, the participants cannot be seen fully when standing and interacting. Another system designed over a decade ago uses two old format 4:3 aspect ratio screens seamed together.

The technology is here today to create an intelligent telepresence system that meets a variety of corporate communication needs. A large single screen is undoubtedly the new standard for high-end group telepresence. A large and impressive single screen telepresence room allows for a versatile corporate communications environment that can display cinema, stunning corporate presentations and, also, an immersive data screen, all maintained in pristine HD/graphics resolution with a wide aspect ratio.
